About
Chris is a scientist and artist living in the Willamette Valley, OR. He believes that science and art have the same basic premise — tell a story in a compelling way to push your ideas forward, promoting critical thought and improving the lives of others. He trained as both an animator and illustrator before switching gears to pursue an advanced degree in Entomology. Since earning his M.S., he’s successfully applied his art and design skills to promoting integrated pest management and invasive species prevention in the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to publishing peer-reviewed articles, his photography, video, and illustration work has been featured in Science, Good Fruit Grower, New Scientist, Pan-Pacific Entomologist, the American Natural Museum of History (NY), the Smithsonian Natural Museum of National History (DC)
